your cycling experience in the Wachau

be bike. be art.

Important information

After the rockslide at Aggsbach-Dorf, the B33 will remain closed over the summer. Our hotel and all other businesses in the Wachau can still be reached without any problems thanks to detours.

During this time, a cycle and pedestrian ferry will connect the villages of Aggsbach-Dorf and Aggstein (around 1,500 metres) from the boat landing stage in Aggsbach-Dorf to a temporary landing stage in Aggstein, both on the south bank. It runs in both directions at regular intervals, daily from 9 am to 6 pm. The duration of a journey is between 5 and 8 minutes. Until the ferry service starts to bypass the Danube cycle path closure, we recommend changing to the north bank in St. Lorenz (to Weißenkirchen) or in Arnsdorf (to Spitz).
