On 1 March 2022, we brought the artist Alex Vorti to the arte Hotel Krems for a vernissage!
The 33-year-old Alex Vorti, who studied sculpture at the University of Fine Arts in Belgrade, amazes with both his expressiveness and his artistic, suggestive power.
Graphite, ink, acrylic and oil predominate in his works, lending them their own individual expressiveness characterised by energetic, long strokes and carefully woven, thin, soft, short elements. Whether monochrome or colourful, his creations are imbued with a suggestive power typical of Vorti. His most recent oeuvre “Adumbratio” comprises two series of paintings, the title itself meaning “suggestion, indication, overshadowing, foreshadowing”. There is an immediate energetic flow between the artwork and the viewer, a polarising expansion.
Alex Vorti was born in 1991 in Majdanpek, Serbia. He studied sculpture at the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade. In addition to his artistic work, he teaches art and English.
