On 15th August 2024 we will be bringing the artist Anja Stemmer to the arte Hotel Krems for an art exhibition!
Anja Stemmer, an artist based in Munich, creates dynamic abstract paintings in vibrant colours. She has established herself on the art scene with international exhibitions. Her fresh and vibrant aesthetic moves between abstract expressionism and gestural painting.
The artist talks about her work as follows
My abstract artworks are energetic and vibrant. “Dare to dance with chance!” – that is my motto, which is also reflected in my way of working. I combine different painting techniques, from pouring, pouring and dripping liquid colours onto the canvas to the traditional brush technique. However, I also use unconventional tools such as palette knives to create sweeping, gestural marks. My paintings invite you to engage with the world and discover it with joyful curiosity. If you let go of concrete meanings and interpretations and instead activate your own imagination and creativity, my artworks help you to approach things playfully, enjoy life and be in the flow.
