In every arte Hotel, we give creative, young or up-and-coming artists a stage: our artist’s place event series moves between all art forms, in a finely dosed irregularity and always relaxed atmosphere!
On 19 February 2020, we brought the artist Georg Pummer to the arte Hotel Krems for a vernissage!
Georg Pummer is an award-winning Austrian painter who presents his work internationally – not only in Munich but also in cities such as Miami, New York, L.A., Shanghai and London. His favourite medium is acrylic. With his unmistakable “glitch style” and unique painting technique, the Austrian creates dynamic works that combine traditional portraits with digital aesthetics. The distortions and pixelations in his works symbolise the new digital world and are combined with the existing – simultaneously dissolving. The current portrait series is entitled “Nothing is Forever”. Self-experiences and encounters with people and nature are dealt with in his surrealist works and thus processed by the artist.
