On 14 September 2023, we invited Christina Martin to our cosy wine bar at the arte Hotel Kufstein after she had already performed at our sister hotel arte Salzburg the day before!

Christina Martin is a powerful and charismatic musician, songwriter and performer hailing from the windswept east coast of Canada. Her music dances effortlessly through pop, rock, folk and Americana traditions, refusing to be pigeonholed and unafraid to navigate uncharted waters with style. From her Austin-influenced debut Pretty Things from 2002 to the sweeping, almost cinematic dreamscapes of 2018’s Impossible to Hold, Martin is an artist who has constantly changed and evolved.
Like her entire oeuvre, the current album Storm is characterised by songs that speak with merciless honesty about the human condition. Whether personal introspections or tales about third parties, each song is drawn with the pen of love and goes straight to the heart. Accompanied by her new string-driven album and a series of iconic music videos, Christina will also be performing overseas in 2023, accompanied by co-producer and guitarist Dale Murray. Storm, this very special album, and the upcoming tour are not to be missed.
