The Ars Electronica Center, the “Museum of the Future”, has been analysing and commenting on the digital revolution since 1979. This globally unique platform for art, society and technology always focuses on current developments and possible future scenarios and how they could change our lives. The Ars Electronica thus puts a wide variety of visions to the test every day and is constantly reinventing itself.

The Lentos Kunstmuseum not only offers works of modern and contemporary art in a special ambience, but also characterises the cityscape of Linz with its impressive architecture. On display are works of art from the 19th century, through classic modernism such as Klimt, Schiele and Kokoschka, and expressionism, to current, contemporary art positions such as VALIE EXPORT. The oversized “picture frame” that breaks through the building and provides a wonderful view of the Urfahr district and the Pöstlingberg is breathtaking.

The Brucknerhaus serves as a concert and event venue and is modelled on the famous composer Anton Bruckner. This special venue is characterised by its excellent acoustics and outstanding architecture. Numerous festivals and concerts take place here every year, as well as the annual Bruckner Festival.
