Javier Rodaro is an up-and-coming musician from Salzburg whose career took off at a young age. He toured the whole country with his band The Westsides and brought soul to the stages of Austria. Rodaro has been performing as a solo artist since the age of 17. This significantly paved his way as a successful singer-songwriter.

His first big breakthrough came in 2015, when he opened the main stage at the Frequency Festival. This success was followed by a performance on the main stage of the legendary Donauinselfest in 2018. These and other milestones illustrate how quickly Javier Rodaro was able to establish himself in the Austrian music scene.

In the same year, at the age of just 19, he released his debut album A Homecoming Mixtape. The album is characterised by a variation of songs that reflect his profound lyrics and his passion for music. Javier moves between soul and R&B, whereby he is particularly characterised by his guitar accompaniment and emotionally charged vocals. He also released his acoustic EP Nostalgic in 2018, which gives an even deeper insight into the intimate side of his work.

In addition to his longplayers, Rodaro has already released several singles such as Water, Wherever and Cigarettes & A Bottle of Beer, which expand his musical repertoire and add further facets to his versatility as an artist. His music is often described as emotional, profound and touching, and his performances know how to impress with his stage presence. Javier Rodaro captivates his audience with the authenticity and passion of his art. His ability to master both intimate solo sets and large festival appearances with ease sets him apart from the masses and makes him a permanent fixture on the music scene.

On 26 September 2024, Javier and guitarist David Binderberger performed at our hu:goes 14 Rooftop Bar. The two impressed with a multi-faceted mix of the most diverse genres. The harmony between Rodaro’s soulful vocals and Binderberger’s virtuoso guitar playing is particularly noteworthy. Our guests also appreciated this and rewarded the two artists with loud applause between their performances. Some of the guests were visibly carried away by the intensity of the performance, creating an intimate atmosphere that set all floors of our arte Hotel vibrating with music.

Rodaro also had his latest album Miracles with him, which was available to purchase on site in the form of CDs. The audience not only had the opportunity to experience the songs live, but could also get their hands on a signed CD of the album. For many, the concert was not only a musical event in a class of its own, but also an opportunity to get to know the artist and his work better and take a piece of his art home with them.
